If you need a plugin for the 1073, there's a few out there. This is not one of them. I downloaded this file and it has all the default settings from the 1073 preamp, i.e., no eq adjustments, etc. There also isn't any information on what it does to be able to compare between this plugin and anything else. It just installs a bunch of .dll files into your VST folder and that's it. I don't know if there are other things I should install to make these work or how I would get them to show up in my DAW lol Seriously? You're going to pay money for something you can get for free? Anyway... Meh. its a decent plugin. I used it for a while and I was happy with the result it gave me, but after some time I noticed the downsides of the plugin: First, its not realtime. So you can't adjust it via MIDI for example, results of such adjustments will only be applied after the recording is done and then you can do nothing about that stuff! You can save presets but then again they'll be just an .preset file that won't allow any changes - and what's worse is that this plugin will update your settings everytime it starts. Second, the default eq settings are not the best. Depending on your loop size and tempo changes in them will cause problems. In my case it lead to "metallish" distortions and amplifications of all frequencies which I did not like because it detracted from the sound I was aiming for. So if you want to use this plugin you should probably deactivate its decca (correction) feature and make sure its last setting is fixed on the desired frequency (it can be fine tuned, but obviously that won't help if you're not happy with it). Anyways, it's still a good plugin, just not worth the money. It works well for some stuff but if you're looking for some more precise eqs that will allow you to experiment with different frequency curves - this ain't it. Hope my review was helpful.
